Nasrallah: Israel to be destroyed within years By Yoav Stern Israel will be destroyed "within a few years," Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah told a rally in Beirut yesterday. "Destroying Israel is an inevitable outcome, a historic law, a divine doctrine," Nasrallah said. "When Israel won't have an army it won't survive, and that's what I said about Mughniyah's blood leading to the elimination of Israel." Advertisement Nasrallah, who spoke on the occasion of Islamic Resistance Week, mentioned former Hezbollah chief Abbas al-Musawi and senior Hezbollah official Imad Mughniyah, killed in a bomb blast in Damascus last week. The group has accused Israel of assassinating the terrorist who was wanted by a number of governments for his involvement in a series of attacks on Israeli and Western targets over the past 20 years. "I swear to you Haj Imad, your blood will not go to waste," Nasrallah concluded. He said that Hezbollah is waging an "open war" with Israel, emphasizing that "the war is open since 1948, before I was born. Nasrallah said Syria is responsible for investigating Mughniyah's assassination, and updating the Shi'ite organization with its findings. "If Palestinians adopt a strategy of marriage and having children then demographics will destroy Israel," he said. He said that sources in Lebanon estimate Israel will launch a war to crush Hezbollah within a few months. He added that activists from his organization are ready for battle against the Israel Defense Forces and will fight the IDF soldiers "in every wadi" in ways they haven't fought in the past. "No one can protect the entire Israeli home front from our missiles," he said. "If they think of entering the South, to any valley, any hill, I swear you [Israelis] will carry your tanks and soldiers and your entire army will collapse under the feet of Mughniyah," Nasrallah said. He maintained that the investigation strengthened his view that Israel stood behind the assassination, praising Mughniyah's involvement in the kidnapping of Israeli businessman Elhanan Tennenbaum and forcing Israel to leave Lebanon in the year 2000. Hezbollah's political rivals in Lebanon claim the Islamic group has used the assassination of Mughniyah to increase pressure on them. Bookmark to del.icio.us   And the Oscar goes to...
