Nazareth police, in cooperation with the Shin Bet security service, arrested four 17-year-old teens early Sunday, on suspicion they hurled rocks at vehicles on Route 77 in the Galilee.

Police maintain that the suspects admitted to being involved in the incident, but have yet to reveal their motives.

The Nazareth Magistrate's Court is expected to extend the suspects' remand on Sunday.

Following drivers' complaints about rocks being hurled into the road, Nazareth police closed Route 77 between HaMovil junction to Ramat Yishai. Three cars sustained damage.

Police forces scoured the area if fear the the closed off road would be pelted with rocks.

This is the first incident of rock-throwing in this area, and therefore the motive is unknown. "We view this as a serious incident," Nazareth Police Chief Avi Haliwah said. "This is something new for us."
