Iran seeks wins at Beijing Olympics to strengthen int'l image

With the 2008 Beijing Olympics approaching at a time when Iran is struggling against sanctions and accusations over its nuclear ambitions, Tehran has decided to use the games to strengthen its image.

To this end, Iran has invested large amounts in its athletes and has had a special religious dispensation given to allow women to participate in the sporting events.
