Last update - 22:30 16/01/2008 Palestinian open fire on Jewish neighborhood in Hebron By Nadav Shragai, Haaretz Correspondent Tags: Beit Hadassah, Hebron  Palestinian militants on Wednesday opened fire on the Jewish neighborhood of Beit Hadassa in the center of West Bank city of Hebron. Fifteen bullets were fired, two of which penetrated houses and another hit the playground of the neighborhood's nursery school. No one was injured. The Hebron Community Council sent a letter to Defense Minister Ehud Barak, urging him to "engage the security forces in protecting Jews, rather than in evicting them from their homes."
