Two IDF reservists hurt in blast on Gaza border
By Yuval Azoulay

Two Israel Defense Forces reservists were lightly injured in an explosive blast on Friday while patroling the southern Gaza Strip border near Kissufim. Another explosion occured shortly beforehand, with no injuries. Two Palestinians were injured by IDF fire after they approached the border fence near the Karni crossing in the northern Gaza Strip.

Meanwhile, in the northern West Bank village of Bil'in on Friday afternoon, an IDF soldier was slightly injured by a stone thrown during a protest against the separation fence. The soldiers responded with riot control measures.

Also Friday, a young Palestinian was arrested at the Hawara roadblock near Nablus, after a military policewoman found a mortar while searching his belongings. A military police sapper blew up the mortar.

In another protest against the separation fence, Palestinians clashed with IDF soldiers and military police near the village of Umm Salmuna in the Bethlehem area. One protester was detained for questioning and later released.
