The Israeli Arab sector selects a beauty queen

The lucky winner of the Miss Lilac beauty pageant for Israeli Arab women was crowned earlier this week.

Twelve finalists came to Shfaram on Sunday after being selected by Web surfers who saw pictures of contenders and were able to vote via text message.

The competition even has a male component, and this is the third year that eight men are competing for the title of the "ideal man" of the sector. But not everyone is comfortable with the notion.
