Comedy tour to benefit at-risk teens

A five-city comedy tour in English featuring performers from the U.S. will kick off on Wednesday to benefit Crossroads, a Jerusalem-based center for at-risk Anglo teens.

Headlining the tour in Mark Schiff, a Hollywood-based comedian who has written for sitcoms such as "Mad About You" and is described by Jerry Seinfeld as "one of the funniest, the brightest, the best stage comics I have ever seen." Also performing will be John Mulrooney, former host of "Comic Strip Live," and Reggie McFadden, whose comedy career began as a regular on the hit series "In Livin' Color."

The Crossroads Comedy event, now in its third year, was initiated by Avi Liberman, an Israeli-born comedian now based in Los Angeles. Liberman recently returned from Afghanistan where he was entertaining U.S. troops as part of DogTag Comedy - a program which donates proceeds to Crossroads.

Crossroads conducts outreach programs with troubled English-speaking teens in Jerusalem.
