The home of Jerusalem District Court Justice Hannah Ben Ami, who
convicted alleged organized crime boss Assi Abutbul on Tuesday, was broken into Wednesday night.

The judge and her husband awoke in the middle of the night after they heard noises in their apartment. After they didn't find anyone in the house they spotted a man sitting in their car. When the man noticed that they had seen him, he ran away. A few objects and personal documents were stolen from the house.

On Tuesday, Ben Ami convicted Abutbul of being an accessory to a weapons deal. Ben-Ami also convicted Eli Naim (nicknamed "the Magician"), one of the reputed crime chiefs in the Jerusalem area, of conspiring to commit a crime, and of illegally purchasing weapons.

Eight other people were also convicted over arms dealing charges, all of them members of Abutbul and Naim's organizations.

During the trial, Abutbul was ejected from the courtroom after he shouted at the judge. He later told reporters "she will pay the price."
