Six people were killed over the weekend in road accidents across Israel.

On Saturday evening, a 60-year-old man was killed near Kibbutz Bet Alfa in the Jezreel valley. Initial investigations reveal that the man was driving along on Route 669 between Kibbutz Beit HaShita and Beit Shean, where he lost control of his vehicle after driving past a sharp curve in the road. His vehicle rolled down a six-meter ditch at the side of the road. As a result, his vehicle overturned, and he was killed on the spot. Magen David Adom paramedics that arrived on the scene confirmed his death.

On Saturday afternoon, a motorcyclist was killed near Beit Shemesh after he apparently lost control and crashed into a barrier on the side of the road.

Earlier Saturday, Yulia Sergiev, 25, died in a hit-and-run accident in Haifa. Sergiev was crossing the street with her sister and two friends when a car hit her. The driver fled, but turned himself in later on.

Tarek Abu Kara, 17, died Friday night when the car he was riding in flipped over on Highway 60 near Be'er Sheva. The driver, also 17, was seriously hurt and immediately taken to Soroka Medical Center in the southern city. Police suspect the driver was using his brother's driving license and evading hosue arrest.

Also on Friday, Sa'ar Asfar and Yossi Ben Naim, both 17 from Atlit, were killed in an accident police blamed on reckless driving. Three people were injured in that accident.
