Firefighters were called to the scene and managed to put out the fire, but the cars were completely destroyed. "We haven't before seen such damage caused by a Qassam," said Moshe Omer, spokesman for the Lachish region fire department. Another rocket was fired at the western Negev later Saturday, but no damage was caused. The attack on Beit Hanun came after Palestinian militants fired three rockets and two mortar shells on Sderot. One of the rockets caused extensive damage to a house and vehicles.
