Police question MK Ziv over sexual assault allegations
By Jonathan Lis, Haaretz Correspondent

MK Izhak Ziv (Pensioners' Party) arrived Thursday at a police station in Lod to answer questions concerning his alleged sexual assault of a party activist.

Ziv was accompanied to the station by lawyer Zion Amir, who advised former president Moshe Katzav during the police probe into rape allegations against him.

The Hebrew daily Yedioth Aharonoth reported that an investigation against the 69-year-old Ziv was opened after a female activist filed a complaint against him a few weeks ago.

According to the complainant, Ziv had forcibly held her during a tour he gave of his house. She claims Ziv at one point lifted her shirt, touched her breasts, and then threw her on his bed. She said she resisted him and fled.

A polygraph test of the woman conducted by the newspaper confirmed her claim.

Ziv denied the woman's accusations and said she was motivated by political vengeance
