Gov't lures citizens back to Israel with incentives

The State of Israel has changed its attitude towards 'Yordim,' those who left the country to reside abroad.

With Israel's 60th independence day around the corner, the Absorption Ministry has decided to try to lure the hundreds of thousands Israelis residing abroad back to the holy land through an incentive package consisting of preferential employment opportunities, large loans for new businesses, health benefits and tax exemptions.
