Justice Minister Daniel Friedmann has withdrawn his intention to limit the right of citizens and organizations to appeal to the High Court of Justice against government actions, in cases where they were not directly harmed.

In a meeting Friedmann held on Wednesday in his Tel Aviv office with human rights and gay and lesbian rights representatives, Friedmann said he would not act to limit the right of appeal to the High Court.

The justice minister said he had taken the decision following field work carried out by his office staff.
