(AP) Last update - 04:30 24/08/2007 Qassam rocket hits Sderot house; family treated for shock By Haaretz Service and News Agencies Tags: refugee camp, explosives, IDF  A Qassam rocket struck a house in the western Negev town of Sderot on Thursday, damaging the home but causing no injuries. The family members were treated for shock. A total of seven Qassam rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip at Israel on Thursday. The Qassam rocket penetrated the roof of the Timasit family home, damaging the house. When the Mr. Timasit heard the Qassam warning siren, he ordered his family to enter the bomb shelter in the home. Advertisement The family members were evacuated to the Hosen Center, which specializes in treating shock victims. Just a few months ago, a Qassam rocket struck the home of a different branch of the Timasit family, seriously wounding Mr, Timasit?s sister-in-law. A second rocket fired in the same barrage struck near the town. A Qassam rocket fired Thursday afternoon hit an open area in the Sderot. Later, another four Qassam rockets were fired at the town, striking in open areas near a Western Negev kibbutz. Those attacks caused no injuries or damage. Meanwhile, three Israel Defense Soldiers were lightly wounded overnight during an operation in the Ein Beit Ilma refugee camp in Nablus, Israel Radio reported Thursday morning. Palestinian militants hurled makeshift explosives and grenades at the IDF troops. The wounded soldiers were taken to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva. Meanwhile, IDF troops arrested seven wanted militants overnight across the West Bank. Also early Thursday, three Hamas militants were wounded in an Israel Air Force strike, as they approached Israeli troops in the southern Gaza Strip, Hamas and the IDF said. Hamas said its troops were monitoring the movement of IDF soldiers near the town of Khouza, east of Khan Yunis, when they were targeted by an Israeli drone. The army said it targeted the gunmen, after they got close to troops on the ground. Later, a gunbattle erupted between IDF troops and Hamas gunmen near the Israel-Gaza border, injuring one Hamas man. Local residents said the army arrested some 10 residents and farmers in the area. The army said its troops were fired upon and returned fire. It confirmed carrying out a number of arrests, but would not say how many. Israeli troops frequently enter Gaza for brief operations to target militants and thwart rocket attacks on Israeli towns.
