Police to question Pensioners MK Ziv on sexual assault allegations
By Jonathan Lis, Haaretz Correspondent

MK Yitzhak Ziv (Pensioners' Party) will be questioned by the police in coming days regarding allegations that he sexually assaulted a party activist.

The activist submitted last Thursday a complaint against Ziv to the police financial crimes unit in Lod.

According to her version of events, when she visited 69-year-old Ziv at his home before the last Knesset elections, he forcibly embraced her from behind, lifted up her shirt, touched her breasts and threw her on a bed.

The woman said she resisted and then ran away from the scene.

Major General Yohanan Danino, head of the Police Investigations and Intelligence Unit, has decided to open an investigation, and has asked the financial crimes unit to head it.

Police intend to set up an appointment with Ziv for questioning in coming days.
