Some 30,000 people including about 5,000 Negev residents attended the "We are all Sderot" solidarity concert at Rabin Square in Tel Aviv Monday night, to show support for the residents of Sderot and other communities bordering the Gaza Strip, who live under the constant threat of Qassam rocket fire.

"We are with you," said Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai. "Qassams in Sderot are our problem too. We call for priorities to be changed, so that the residents of the Gaza envelope and Sderot will live like in Tel Aviv."

Sha'ar Hanegev Regional Council Chairman Alon Shuster addressed the residents of Tel Aviv. "You can help us, Do not exclude us from your world. Visit us, our landscapes, and our tourist resorts. Come and study at Sapir College. Shop in our markets and businesses. Write and publish the truth," he said.

The event was the initiative of Kobi Oz - frontman of Israeli Eurovision entrants and rock group Teapacks and the Tel Aviv municipality.

"The goal of the event is to let the residents of Sderot and the other communities bordering Gaza feel that they are not alone," said one of the event's organizers.

Performers included Shlomo Artzi, Amir Benayoun and Rami Kleinstein
