Woman arrested on suspicion of abusing her young daughters
By Roni Zinger-Heruti

Netanya police on Tuesday arrested a 38-year-old mother on suspicion that she abused her two daughters, aged 8 and 10.

Area police on Wednesday will request that Netanya court issue a remand against the woman.

The woman was arrested after Netanya Police received information that an area woman was abusing her children, abuse that included placing a white-hot blade against their hands and legs causing them serious burns.

Police also suspect that the woman beat her children with a cane and broke one of her daughter's hands in a separate incident.

Under questioning, the mother denied all allegations against her.

The children have been taken from their mother's custody and placed in the care of a foster home.
