Police suspect cars involved in deadly accident were racing
By Eli Ashkenazi, Haaretz Correspondent

Police suspect that a deadly car accident Tuesday morning in Kfar Naorah that took the life of Isa Halvi, 21, happened because Halvi was racing family members traveling in another car.

Halvi was killed after his car overturned after taking a bend in the road at high speed. A young relative of Halvi who was sitting in the front passenger seat was seriously injured in the accident, and two other family members in a nearby car were lightly wounded when their car spun out of control.

Police have stated that signs indicate that the four victims were drag racing. Police took blood tests from the four wounded in order to determine if they were driving under the influence of alcohol.

In late April, Fadi Rooshroosh, 28, was killed near the Golani Junction in what police suspect was also a drag race.
