Last update - 20:36 27/05/2007 Soldier arrested for allegedly raping 14-year-old girl By Jackie Khoury, Haaretz Correspondent A 19-year-old soldier from the Nahariya area was arrested Sunday in suspicion that he raped a 14-year-old girl from the Haifa suburbs. The girl arrived at the Nahariya police station over the weekend and said that she had been raped by the soldier. The two had met in March over the internet and began talking on the phone. A few weeks ago, they two met in Nahariya. The soldier took the girl to his home, where they began to get intimate. Police say that the soldier then asked the girl to have sex with him. When the girl refused the soldier allegedly raped her. Nahariya Chief Superintendent said that after he raped her, the soldier gave the girl bus fare so that she could go home. Advertisement Police say that the soldier has confessed to the rape allegations and plan to request to extend his remand on Monday in court.
