State prosecutor closes case against Labor MK Yoram Marciano
By Yuval Yoaz, Haaretz Correspondent

The state prosecutor decided to close the case against MK Yoram Marciano (Labor) on Monday, citing lack of evidence.

Marciano was suspected of allegedly attacking and threatening security guards and a photographer in the "Rio" night club in Herzliya three months ago.

Attorney Shuki Lamberger, a deputy to the state prosecutor for criminal affairs, relayed the message to Maricano's attorney, Navot Tel-Tzur.

In addition, Marciano's counter-complaint against the security guards was decided to be pulled from trial because of lack of culpability.

The initial evidence in the case included testimonies of two security guards at the night club, saying that Marciano had attacked them physically and verbally. A photographer also testified that Marciano's friend had physically attacked him, and that the MK himself had threatened him.

Tel-Tzur said "we are pleased with the closing of the case, and thank all the legal personnel who dealt with the subject."
