Ramat Gan man suspected of killing neighbor over ongoing feud
By Roni Singer-Heruti, Haaretz Correspondent

The police arrested on Monday a 30-year-old Ramat Gan resident on suspicion that he murdered his neighbor, 45, due to an ongoing feud between them.

The suspect was arrested some two weeks ago for allegedly having attacked his neighbor's 22-year-old son. He was suspected of having run into the young man in the stairwell and having beaten him with his fists. The Tel Aviv Magistrates Court at the time ordered a psychiatric evaluation for the suspect, but his attorney appealed the decision and he was ultimately released.

An initial investigation into the murder revealed that the victim and the suspect had been involved in an ongoing feud surrounding the building they shared.

At around 7:00 a.m. Monday morning, the suspect allegedly ambushed the woman in the doorway of their building, wielding a knife. When she exited the building, the suspect allegedly attacked her and stabbed her several times in the chest.

The woman was evacuated by a medical team to Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv and died shortly after.
