By Mijal Grinberg, Haaretz Correspondent

An Israel Defense Forces soldier was moderately injured on Saturday after he stepped on a landmine in the Arava Valley.

The incident occurred when the soldier, who was patrolling the perimeter of a nearby Israel Air Force base, stepped into an adjacent minefield.
