Two killed in separate motorcycle crashes; pedestrian hit by bus

A 20-year-old motorcycle passenger was killed Monday after the motorcycle, which he had been riding with a friend, hit a wall on Moshe Sneh Street in Tel Aviv.

The police began searching for the driver, who is suspected of having fled the scene, leaving his injured friend behind.

An emergency medical team transported the wounded young man to the hospital, where he died from severe head injuries.

Earlier Monday, a 50-year-old motorcyclist was killed in an accident on David Remez Street in Ashkelon. The police investigation revealed that a commercial vehicle had turned left and hit the man. The man hit the van and was thrown off the motorcycle. The police believe he then hit a pole, and was killed instantly.

Also on Monday, a 22-year-old pedestrian was seriously wounded after being hit by a bus in Petah Tikva.
