Police say enough testimony to try Hirchson for embezzlement
By Jonathan Lis, Haaretz Correspondent

Investigators have collected enough evidence in recent weeks to charge Finance Minister Abraham Hirchson with misappropriation of funds belonging to the National Workers Organization, the Leumit Health Maintenance Organization and a number of related associations, Haaretz has learned.

The police investigations chief, Major General Yohanan Danino, and the head of the team investigating Hirchson, Brigadier General Yoav Segalovich, are to meet with Attorney General Menachem Mazuz to update him on the investigation.

The briefing will be the third in recent months on the investigation.

Hirchson was last questioned ten days ago at the Unit for the Prevention of Economic Crime in Lod, and is expected to be questioned again in the coming days.
