A high school teachers' union on Tuesday warned it will resume sanctions after Passover break ends unless progress is made in negotiations with the government over a new work agreement.

Over the past few weeks the union has disrupted school activities in different parts of the country and ordered its members not to take part in any activity that takes place outside regular school hours.

Last March the union agreed to resume negotiations with the finance ministry, saying it was seeking "true, efficient and serious negotiations."

However, union chairman Ran Erez said that since talks resumed no progress has been made and many meetings have been canceled.
