Man killed, three injured in traffic accident in Haifa industrial park
By Jack Khoury, Haaretz Correspondent

One man was killed and three were injured in a traffic accident involving two private cars in the industrial area of Haifa Friday night. The injured - one seriously and six lightly - were transferred to Rambam Medical Center.

Police believe that the fatality, a resident of the northern village of Yafia, caused the accident as he was fleeing from a bar brawl. The man crashed into two cars that were standing at the traffic lights. Police are investigating whether the driver was driving under the influence of alcohol.

In a separate accident, Ibrahim Mustafa, 43, of Jedidah, was killed and four other people were seriously injured in an automobile accident at a highway junction in the western Galilee.

Initial police investigations have found that a private automobile was driving north when it veered into oncoming traffic, hitting a southbound car head on.

Three teenagers, including Mustafa's 17-year-old son, were seriously injured in the accident and were hospitalized in intensive care. A 30-year-old resident of Carmiel was also seriously injured in the accident.
