By Roni Singer-Heruti, Haaretz Correspondent

The body of an unidentified man in his 40s was pulled out of the lake in the Ganei Yehoshua Park in Tel Aviv on Sunday. Initial police reports indicate there is no suspicion of foul play, and the body shows no signs of violence.

The body has been sent to the Abu Kabir Medical Institute for further exams.

The first report of a body floating in the lake was received by the police on Saturday afternoon. Police who arrived on the scene searched for the body, and after not finding it, left the scene.

Saturday morning police received a report from a passerby who witnessed the body floating on the surface of the lake. A police patrol arrived at the scene and located the body, which was pulled from the water by a team of firefighters who were called to the scene.

Initial examinations have indicated that the body shows no signs of violence. An additional exam indicated that the man is not among people reported missing recently to police, and is believed to be an area homeless man.
