Lawyer suspected of stealing money from clients, forging documents
By Jonathan Lis, Haaretz Correspondent

The National Fraud Investigation Unit Thursday morning arrested a lawyer from Caesaria suspected of deceptively taking money from her clients and forging court documents.

The lawyer, 38, allegedly deceived her clients into giving her large sums of money and apparently forged court protocols, signing them with the name of a Tiberias family court judge.

The suspect was released on probation later Thursday, after a search was conducted in her home and office.

The lawyer, who holds offices in Beit She'an and in Netanya, is also suspected of giving her clients fake receipts which state that their money was deposited into the court accounts department. According to the suspicions, the money in question was never deposited in court and actually went into her pocket.
