IDF kills Palestinian laying roadside bomb on Gaza border
By Avi Issacharoff, Haaretz Correspondent and News Agencies

Israeli Defense Forces troops shot at two Palestinians spotted near the Israel-Gaza border fence as they were laying a roadside bomb Tuesday morning.

One of the militants was killed after the bomb he was handling blew up, while his companion was wounded. An IDF patrol that arrived at the scene found the weapons belonging to the militants.

Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades commander Abu Hassan said that the killed militant is a member of his organization. He said also that the bomb went off when an IDF patrol passed it by.

Earlier Tuesday an IDF force fired at two Palestinians who approached the Israel-Gaza border fence, wounding both of them. Troops spotted the Palestinians and fired at their legs after they refused to respond to calls on them to leave the area.
