Hair found at Rada murder scene doesn't belong to prime suspect
By Jack Khoury, Haaretz Correspondent

Hair taken from where the body of murdered teenager Tair Rada was found does not belong to prime suspect Roman Zadorov, Channel 10 News reported on Tuesday.

According to tests carried out by a U.S. laboratory, the hair's DNA does not match that of Zadorov.

The Justice Department refused to comment on the findings but a senior police officer said evidence against Zadorov is strong, regardless of the U.S. test results.

"The fact that the prosecution handed an indictment based on substantial evidence that exists implicating Zadorov without waiting for the U.S. lab results show there is sufficient evidence tying him to the murder, and the case does not stand wholly on that issue," he said.

Zadorov's lawyer David Spiegel said further establishes other findings that prove Zadorov's innocence.

"I am not building his defense case only on the U.S. findings, and there are many other claims strengthening my client's version," Spiegel said.

Zadorov will be brought in the coming days before a Nazareth District Court to be remanded.
