A victims' rights group has asked State Prosecutor Eran Shendar for representatives of the family of murdered Katzrin teen Tair Rada to be given access to the investigation material.

Two weeks ago Tair's parents, Shmuel and Ilana Rada, met together with their lawyers, Moshe and Shira Meroz, with representatives of the northern district State Prosecutor's Office, but they did not receive the material.

A representative of the association, Le'an, said "this is an unusual request, which is the beginning of a struggle for a "declaration of victims rights," which the association would like to establish.

"The case could go on for two years and meanwhile, the family is suffering every day," Le'an said.

The association said that if the family had access to the material, a private investigator who is volunteering his services would be able to tell the family whether or not the suspect is connected to the the crime. "The investigative material is not secret and was transfered to the lawyer of the accused," Le'an's director, Tamara Mor, said. We would like to petition the High Court of Justice if the prosecutor continues to refuse to allow Le'an's private investigator to view the material."

Meanwhile, the date for the remand hearing for suspect Roman Zadorov, was postponed Sunday at the request of Zadorov's attorney, David Speigel, who said he had not had a chance to review what he called "the mountains of investigative material
