Two killed, a third lightly hurt in 3 separate stabbing incidents
By Haaretz Service

Two people were stabbed to death on the same Jaffa street on Saturday. Another stabbing victim, in Rishon Letzion, was lightly hurt, and her alleged assailant was later found dead.

Rishon Letzion Police were investigating Sunday the circumstances surrounding the death of a 54-year-old man suspected of having stabbed his girlfriend overnight, Army Radio reported.

The man allegedly stabbed the 26-year-old woman Saturday night, lightly wounding her. He then fled the scene, only to be found dead in his car several hours later.

The initial investigation revealed that the woman was seeking to end her relationship with the man.

In a separate incident overnight Saturday, a Palestinian resident of the West Bank was murdered in the Jaffa apartment in which he was staying illegally.

At around 1 a.m. police received reports of a fight in a building on Michelangelo Street in Jaffa. Magen David Adom emergency medical service medics arrived at the scene and found the body, riddled with apparently fatal stab wounds. Three suspects, also Palestinian, were arrested in connection with the murder.

This murder was discovered only a day after another man was stabbed to death on the same street in Jaffa, and his body was set on fire.

Firefighters called to extinguish an apartment fire in Jaffa on Saturday discovered the body.

Fire crews arrived at the apartment on Michelangelo Street to extinguish a fire that broke out in the apartment and found the man's body with apparent stab wounds.

Police suspect that the victim, believed to be homeless, broke into the apartment and was stabbed to death. The apartment was then set aflame.

Five people were arrested in connection to the incident, including a 19-year-old Jaffa resident.
