Police arrest man, 51, suspected of raping his nieces for two years
By Mijal Grinberg, Haaretz Correspondent

Police arrested Friday a 51-year-old resident of northern Israel suspected of raping his two nieces over the course of two years.

One of the nieces filed a complaint with police, alleging her uncle began raping them six years ago, when they were 11 and 12 years old, and continued doing so for two years.

Tiberias Magistrate's Court extended the suspects remand by three days on Friday.

Two youths killed in Be'er Sheva convenience store shooting
Two young men were killed and a 16-year-old boy was seriously wounded in an early Friday shooting at a Be'eer Sheva convenience store.

Police said the motive for the shooting was unclear, but that they did not think it was terror-related.

The convenience store owner, who was not present during the shooting, said a scuffle had taken place nearby about an hour before the shooting and that the participants fled when police were called to the scene.

It was not immediately clear whether the people involved in the scuffle were the same as those involved in the shooting, but Be'er Sheva police chief Amnon Alkalai said police were investigating the possibility.

Magen David Adom medic Danny Harush said the two young men appeared to have been shot once in the chest. He said they were pronounced dead at the scene.
