Egyptian police nab would-be suicide bomber en route to Gaza Strip
By Haaretz Service

Egyptian security forces on Saturday arrested a would-be suicide bomber en route to the Gaza Strip, Israel Radio reported.

Abdul Rahman Magdi, 17, of Alexandria, left family members a letter saying he intended to infiltrate the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing and carry out a suicide bombing against an Israeli target.

On his way to the Gaza-Egypt border, however, Madgi told a taxi driver about his plan, and the driver in turn alerted Egyptian security forces.

Magdi was arrested in the north of the Sinai peninsula and is currently being interrogated.
