Katzrin police confiscate murder suspect's washing machine
By Eli Ashkenazi, Haaretz Correspondent

Police investigating the murder of a teenage girl in Katzrin questioned the wife of murder suspect Roman Zadorov Wednesday and searched his home.

The couple's washing machine was taken for inspection, after hearing that the suspect's work shirt had been washed in the week between the murder and his arrest.

Police intend to indict Zadorov within the next two weeks.

Meanwhile the detective team investigating the case is continuing to look for evidence to substantiate their charges against him.

The police are convinced that Zadorov is the murderer, on the basis of his admission and reenactment of the murder, and say he demonstrated moves that only the murderer could have known about. Detectives yesterday updated Ilana and Shmuel Rada, the parents of murdered Tair Rada, about their query.

They promised that when they were ready to present charges, they would enable the Radas or a professional acting on their behalf to examine the evidence.

The detectives also told them that the "cigarette theory," raised by the police after Zadorov's admission, should never have been released.

Police sources had leaked to the media that Zadorov's murder motive was his confrontation with Tair Rada, who allegedly swore at him when he refused to give her a cigarette.

It later transpired that this was unreliable information given by teenagers.

Rada's body was found on December 6 in a bathroom stall in the Nofei Golan high school, after being murdered presumably between 1:30 P.M. and 2 P.M.

Zadorov, who was doing renovation work at the school, said he worked that day until almost 5 P.M.
