By Haaretz Service

Firefighters extinguished a large forest fire Sunday morning in the Carmel National Park near Haifa, Army Radio reported.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway. There are suspicions of arson, the radio said.

Twelve crews joined the fight against the flames and strong winds in the area.
