Fire kills man in W. Bank settlement; 3 children hurt in T.A. house fire
By Haaretz Services

A 30-year-old man was killed overnight when his caravan caught fire in the settlement of Ma'aleh Amos in the West Bank.

In a separate fire, in an apartment on Herzl street in Tel-Aviv, 3 children, including an infant, were seriously wounded from smoke inhalation. The childrens' parents and a neighbor were lightly injured.

The first report of a fire was received at 5:30 A.M. Firefighters who entered the apartment found the three children, ages 10, 3, and 2, in dire condition. The parents were located outside the apartment, and were unable to reach their children.

The firefighters managed to get the fire under control, and the injured were taken to Ichilov Hospital in Tel-Aviv and Wolfson in Holon.

An investigation has been launched into what started the fire.
