The body of a four-year-old boy was discovered Thursday in garbage bin in his hometown of Rahat, in the Negev.

The boy was reported missing Wednesday morning, and police forces assisted by a helicopter conducted extensive searches in the area.

A Magen David Adom Emergency Medical Services team was called to the scene, and determined the boy's death.

Police are investigating the possibility the boy was murdered.

Be'er Sheva Magistrate's Court has issued a gag order on most of the details of the investigation, including the boy's identity.
