IDF troops encounter gunfire in Jenin area, no casualties

Israel Defense Forces troops encountered gunfire on two separate incidents predawn Thursday during operational activity near the West Bank city of Jenin.

Shots were fired at the forces, operating in the villages of Dan and Al Yamun. No damage or casualties were reported in either incident.

On Wednesday night, the security forces arrested 25 wanted Palestinian militants across the West Bank.

Two Islamic Jihad members were arrested in Bethlehem, while in Nablus and its environs three Fatah members, a Tanzim member and an operative of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine were detained.

Security forces also caught a Tanzim operative in Tul Karm, a PFLP militant in Qalqilyah, in the Ramallah area Israeli forces detained a non-affiliated wanted militant, two Tanzim members and four Hamas members.

The forces also arrested nine Hamas militants in Hebron.
