Police arrest man suspected of NIS large scale credit card fraud
By Itim

Police on Tuesday arrested a Be'er Sheva man, 27, suspected of a large scale credit card fraud.

The man, who has prior fraud convictions, contacted individuals in debt to various entities and offered to pay off their debt in exchange for a "goodwill" commission.

The suspect allegedly paid the debts with stolen or forgered credit card.

The fraud victims not only paid commissions for a service they did not enjoy, but still have their debts against their name.

The suspect confessed to some of the allegations during questioning. He will be brought for an extension of his remand Wednesday at the Be'er Sheva Magistrate's Court.
