Police arrest fugitive couple suspected of killing landlady
By Itim

Police on Thursday arrested a couple from Ashkleon suspected of strangling their landlady to death because of unsettled debts.

During their interrogation, Vlad Azar and Tatiana Gold admitted killing 71-year-old Leah Zagoriyah because they could not pay the rent.

The two had been living as fugitives in a Tel Aviv park since September 11, when Zagoriyah was found dead in an apartment they were renting from her.
