Israeli truck driver moderately wounded in West Bank shooting

An Israeli driver was moderately wounded before dawn on Thursday when a gunman at his truck on the road that connects the West Bank settlements of Peduel and Alei Zahav.

The driver, who operates a bread-delivery truck, reported a gunman at the side of the road shooting at him.

The truck driver, about 20 years old, was shot in the thigh but was able to keep driving until he reached Peduel, where he was evacuated to Beilinson Medical Center in Petah Tikva.

A Peduel security officer reported that the truck was hit in two places.

Israel Defense Forces soldiers placed a closure on the area and was conducting a search for the shooter.
