Jerusalem Court charges nanny suspected of abusing toddlers
By Itim

The Jerusalem Magistrate's Court on Wednesday indicted a woman suspected of abusing toddlers in her care at a daycare center in the city.

The nanny has been charged with negligence and with the abuse of four toddlers aged 2-3.

According to the indictment, the 49-year-old nanny mercilessly pulled the hair and ears of the toddlers, and even kicked one because "he wouldn't get up from the floor," causing the toddler to suffer a slight limp in his leg.

The nanny also cursed, yelled and insulted the children over a three-month period in 2005, according to the charges.

The nanny justified her actions by saying she was dissatisfied with her job placement.
