Solidarity events for kidnapped soldiers planned for Sukkot
By Jack Khoury, Haaretz Correspondent

The intermediate days of Sukkot will be devoted to numerous events in solidarity with the families of the country's three kidnapped soldiers.

The headquarters of the public campaign for the hostages' return has received many invitations for the families and campaign workers to attend various events.

Some 1,500 children will participate in the largest kite festival ever held in Israel, on the eastern shore of Lake Kinneret, Wednesday. The next day, the Israel sailing championship at Sdot Yam will hold a special regatta in which boats will display signs calling for the soldiers' release. The families thanked the organizers and participants for giving them hope.
