Gunman opens fire in Galilee village, wounding one person
By Eli Ashkenazi, Haaretz Correspondent

One person was moderately to seriously wounded on Thursday in the Galilee village of Romat al-Hayeb, when 40-year-old man barricaded in a neighborhood house opened fire in all directions.

The gunman, who serves as a tracker in the IDF, had entered the village illegally, violating a restraining order that had restricted him from entering the village limits due to an ongoing family feud.

The man barricaded himself in a house and opened fire around him, continuing to shoot even after wounding a passer-by.

It is still not clear if there are other people trapped in the house in which he barricaded himself.
