One person hurt as two Qassam rockets strike Negev town of Sderot
By Mijal Grinberg, Haaretz Correspondent, and Haaretz Service

One person was lightly wounded and two others were treated for shock Sunday morning when two Qassam rockets fired by Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip fell in the Negev town of Sderot.

The first rocket caused the injuries; the second, which fell shortly afterward, killed dozens of chickens and caused damage to farm equipment.

Sderot has borne the brunt of Qassam rocket attacks from Gaza.

On Friday, Palestinian militants fired three Qassam rockets at the Negev, causing no injuries. Three of the rockets were also fired Thursday.

No injuries or damage were reported in either attack. The Israel Defense Forces responded by firing at the rocket-launching sites.
