Jerusalem court convicts settler of 2005 murder of four Palestinians

The Jerusalem District Court Monday convicted Asher Weisgal, 30, of the West Bank settlement of Shvut Rachel, of the murder last year of four Palestinians, as well as one count of attempted murder, Army Radio reported.

On the day of the murders, Weisgal drove the four Palestinian workers from the factory where he worked in the settlement of Shilo.

Along the way, he took a gun from the guard of the settlement, shooting the four Palestinians at close range.

Following the incident, he returned to the factory, and tried to kill the fifth man.
