Five members of same family killed in Tiberias car crash
By Eli Ashkenazi, Haaretz Correspondent

Five members of one family were killed Friday and five other people where injured in a car crash at Hazor'im Junction near the northern city of Tiberias.

The accident occurred when a man driving a Fiat drove across the separation line and crashed into a Skoda-type car in the opposite lane.

The Fiat's passengers, a couple and their three children, died upon impact, while those in the Skoda sustained light to moderate injuries.

Police said they suspected negligence on the part of the driver in the Fiat as the cause for the accident.

"The driver, who going excessively fast for that section of the road, lost control, crossed over to the opposite lane and crashed into the car," a policeman said.
