A 16-year-old boy died overnight in Ashdod from multiple stab wounds sustained during an altercation, police suspected.

The boy's father found him in a pool of his own blood at approximately 2:00 A.M. on Hativat Carmeli Street and called Magen David Adom emergency services, which brought the teenager to Kaplan Hospital in Rehovot.

Police are investigating the incident and have detained several youths for questioning. Police said the victim had several drug violations and was involved in violent incidents in the past.
