Arab League Chief: Settlements make two states impossible
By Reuters
Tags: Amr Moussa, Israel News

The Arab League's secretary general says it will become impossible to establish a Palestinian state unless Israel halts settlement construction in the West Bank immediately.

The League's Amr Moussa said Friday that the demographic makeup in the West Bank is changing rapidly as the Israeli's continue to build, making a two-state solution more unlikely as time goes by.

"This has to stop immediately, and this is the point that makes or breaks," Moussa said.

His comments came a day after President Barack Obama met with Palestinian
President Mahmoud Abbas and also called for a halt to the settlements, while urging the Palestinians to be more accepting of their Israeli neighbors. Israel has rejected that demand.
